"Politique Internationale" publishes a contribution by SportAccord President

In the article entitled “The conditions for an effective and lasting engagement of the sports movement in the fight against betting-related corruption in sports”, the President of SportAccord writes about the threat of match-fixing and illegal betting.

SportAccord is strongly involved in fighting against match-fixing and illegal betting. In an article for Politique Internationale, SportAccord President Hein Verbruggen writes: "For some years now, match-fixing and sports betting have become omnipresent subjects of concern for sports organisations. Everyone tends to portray match-fixing as a major threat endangering the integrity of sport even more so than doping. The nature of this threat calls for action to be coordinated with the public authorities and the betting operators."
