The football community to use SportAccord’s E-Learning Programme

SportAccord has produced an e-learning programme specifically tailored to support INTERPOL’s Integrity in Sport unit global training, education and prevention programme focusing on regular and irregular betting as well as match-fixing.

It will be made available on INTERPOL’s website and used in INTERPOL national workshops and training sessions. The focus of the programme is on interactivity and provides an easily accessible learning tool made up of modules and videos.

FIFA, through its partnership with INTERPOL, is the first SportAccord member to tailor the programme for the needs of its discipline.

Football is undeniably one of the most exposed sports considering the popularity of this discipline on betting markets worldwide, but all international federations have to be conscious of the multiplicity of sports being targeted by fixers as betting markets continue to develop and diversify.

SportAccord actively provides support to its 107 members in the development of proactive information policies towards their leaders and athletes regarding the threats posed by match-fixing.
