The 2012 World Championship in Muaythai (one of the sports participating in the next edition of SportAccord World Combat Games) will serve as a test event for the 2013 edition of SportAccord World Combat Games. Media officers from participating National and International Federations will gather for a media training workshop during the Championship in Saint Petersburg, Russia in September. The meeting will be organised by SportAccord together with the Russian Union of Martial Arts and will serve as an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences in order to deliver a successful worldwide promotion of the 2013 World Combat Games. www.worldcombatgames.com
In addition, preparations for the second edition of the World Mind Games are on the way. The event is scheduled to take place in Beijing, China from 12-19 December 2012. As last year, five sports (Bridge, Chess, Draughts, Go, Xiangqi) will participate and world's best players will compete for the titles. An online tournament prior to the event will be organised as well. Registration for the participants and media will open in mid-July. All details will soon be available on www.worldmindgames.net
