SportAccord Convention welcomes host city residents to its unique Village and Sports Demo Zone for the first time

The clock is winding down for the SportAccord Convention World Sport & Business Summit that will take place in Sochi, Russia, from 19-24 April 2015. With history in the making, this is the first time the SportAccord Convention has hosted a unique village, as well as a Sports Demo Zone. Open daily from 09:00 to 18:30, SportAccord Convention together with a team of local volunteers, will welcome the residents of Sochi – a city now recognised as a familiar sports hub, business and tourist destination- to the mentioned attractions.

FIE and SportAccord carry out anti-doping education outreach at the 2015 cadet and junior world fencing championships

Pedro Gonçalves from SportAccord’s doping-free sport unit (DFSU) joined the cadet and junior world fencing championships that took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 1 to 9 April 2015. The DFSU and FIE staff supported the participating athletes and their coaches through on-site training in anti-doping.
