UK MINISTER TO SPEAK AT SPORTACCORD CONVENTION 2013 IN SAINT PETERSBURG

LAUSANNE, Switzerland - SportAccord Convention announced today that The Right Honourable Hugh Robertson, the United Kingdom's Minister for Sport and Tourism, has joined the programme for the event in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, from May 26-31. He will bring a top-level perspective on the national impact of the Olympic Games to the conference sessions.

The ground-breaking session on "Brave New World - Bionic Sport of the Future," will feature a provocative new voice with the addition of trans-humanist media artist and designer Natasha Vita-More PhD, a leading proponent of enhancing human biology. 

Olympic medalist Charmaine Crooks, President of NGU Consultants, will again join BBC World news anchor David Eades in hosting the conference sessions.

The 11th SportAccord Convention at the Lenexpo Exhibition Complex, the first in Russia, has had to expand the exhibition space to accommodate unprecedented demand, with 82 exhibitors signed up, including a record number of International Federations taking stands.

Among the first-time exhibitors for this year's Convention are Samsung Electronics, UBI France (the French Trade Commission), the Medellin Convention and Visitors Bureau, the 2015 European Games Organising Committee, and Wroclaw 2017 World Games.
