Eurovision has reached a new deal with the National Basketball Association for transmission of live NBA games, NBA TV, and other NBA programming around the world. The deal will be inaugurated with the October 5 pre-season game in Istanbul between the Boston Celtics and Fenerbahçe Ulker

The San Marino MotoGP last Sunday afternoon on Italia 1 pulled the biggest audience in Italy, outscoring primetime shows. The main race in the FIM series averaged 4.58 million viewers.

American network CBS is launching a sports-based version of its flagship current affairs show "60 Minutes" (on air since 1968) in November, according to The Sports Media Hub. The new monthly show "60 Minutes of Sports" will air on the group's Showtime premium cable channel. The sports magazine show, to be created by the network's news division, will feature two original segments, a studio interview and one updated classic sports story from the "60 Minutes" archive

BSkyB has made new deals with Cricket Australia (until 2016) and Cricket South Africa (until 2020). The separate agreements were both brokered by IMG Media. As well as The Ashes series, Sky Sports will show Australia's home series with South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, India and New Zealand. In addition to England's two tours of South Africa, the Sky Sports deal includes the Test series against New Zealand, Pakistan, India, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
