Sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation, the World Baseball Classic is operated by a partnership between Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association. The worldwide media deal excludes the USA, Puerto Rico, Canada and Japan. The upcoming World Baseball Classic will be played in March 2013 with the final phase in San Francisco

A combined peak audience of over 4 million watched the London 2012 victory parade Monday afternoon on BBC1 and Channel 4. The latter said coverage of the Paralympic Games reached 39.9 million people. A peak audience of 7.7 million viewers tuned in to the Closing Ceremony.
Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo has suggested F1 needs shorter races and evening time slots to improve appeal. He said 90 minutes may be too long for the attention span of young people. He also questioned the sense of racing in mid-afternoon in July and August when many people are outdoors on vacation.
