Gary’s insurance career began in 1980 with the Commercial Union in the Property and Casualty Underwriting Department.

For eleven years he worked for Alexander and Alexander (formerly Reed Stenhouse) as a Manager in a team looking after the insurance arrangements and servicing of major multi national clients.

He joined the Sportsafe team in 1997 to provide servicing and technical expertise for Sports Governing Bodies and Event Organisers. The Sportsafe team joined Aon in 2000 giving them access to a world-wide network and International resources. Aon are the official insurance broker to the General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) and has a substantial number of International Sports Federations as clients handling all forms of insurance for the world of sport.

Gary was responsible for creating a unique Policy wording specifically designed for International Sports Federations and their particular Liability Insurance needs, and is regarded as a leading expert in this niche area of business.
