The experts taking part in yesterday's conference session on Building A Facilities Legacy were asked to choose their favourite sports buildings in the world. 

Daniel Cordey, Managing Director of Nussli, selected the temporary beach volleyball stadium on Bondi Beach in Sydney during the 2000 Summer Olympics. 

Bob Johnston, Principal, Cannon Design, said the Aquatics Centre built for the Tokyo Olympics in 1964. 

Wolfgang Maenning, Professor of Economics, Hamburg University, chose the village for rowers - he was one of them - taking part in the Los Angeles Games in 1984.

Peter Mann, Executive Chairman, PMP, picked the City of Manchester Stadium.

Craig McLatchey, CEO, Olympic Games Knowledge Services & Event Knowledge Services, cited the Heraklion Precinct in Athens last summer as his first choice.
