Ireland is the perfect host for any major sporting event, offering competitors, officials and spectators alike one hundred thousand welcomes.  Failte Ireland administers the Government funded International Sports Tourism Initiative. The objective of the Initiative is to attract and secure major international sporting events with tourism potential for Ireland.  Support is given in the form of sponsorship towards events that meet the criteria of the Initiative and deliver substantial tourism and commercial benefits to Ireland

FITA is the international governing body of archery. FITA serves to promote and regulate archery worldwide through high class events with it's 140 Member Associations and it follows the Olympic principles.
