AISTS - Académie Internationale des Sciences et Techniques du Sport

The AISTS (International Academy of Sports Science and Technology), is committed to professionalising sports management through three core activity areas: continuing education, applied research and providing an engaging platform for industry connections.

Founded as a not-for-profit organisation in 2000, AISTS’s Founding Members - the International Olympic Committee, the EPFL, the University of Lausanne, the University of Geneva, IMD Business School, Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, the City of Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud - all recognise the importance of meeting the evolving knowledge needs of today’s sports managers.

Through its education services, the AISTS prepares tomorrow’s international sports managers with the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Sports Administration held each year in Lausanne; provides professional development opportunities to international sport organisations; and onsite training for major event organisers.

The AISTS’s applied research arm conducts independent and commissioned projects, in addition to helping sports organisations and federations navigate an increasingly complex sport landscape through advisory services. The AISTS focus lie in four key competency areas, namely: sport events, sport business, sport technology and innovation, and sustainability in sport.

Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance

The Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance is a non-governmental, member-based, capacity building organization that promotes sport tourism as a grassroots economic development initiative at the community level. The CSTA services over 500 members across Canada, including 150 municipalities, 300 national and provincial sport, multi-sport and major games organizations and a variety of other sport and tourism industry partners. Sport tourism is the fastest growing segment of the tourism industry in Canada with approximately $6.5 billion in annual spending by domestic and international visitors.

The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) is an independent study centre located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It was created in 1995 as a joint venture between the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the University of Neuch�tel, the City and State of Neuchatel.

FAI - World Airsports Federation

The Federation Aeronautique Internationale, FAI - The World Air Sports Federation, was founded in 1905. It is a non-governmental and non-profit making international organisation recognised by the IOC with the basic aim of furthering aeronautical and astronautical activities worldwide, ratifying international records and coordinating the organisation of international competitions. After over a century of steady growth, FAI is now an organisation of more than 100 member countries, forming a strong network linking all those who participate in air sports worldwide.

FIAS - International Sambo Federation

International SAMBO Federation (FIAS) is a non-governmental organization and the only recognized international body being in charge of SAMBO development in the world. Nowadays, 88 national SAMBO federations are affiliated to the FIAS membership and 120 countries are developing SAMBO around the world.
SAMBO is included into the program of the Asian, European and Central American Games. FIAS annually conducts numerous international events at all the continents, including the world championships, continental championships and the President?s Cups.

FIBA – International Basketball Federation

FIBA (fiba.basketball) - the world governing body for basketball - is an independent association formed by 213 National Basketball Federations throughout the world. It is recognised as the sole competent authority in basketball by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The International Federation of Sports Chiropractic / Federation Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS) is comprised of national chiropractic sports councils worldwide and individual members, and has affiliations with international organizations within the chiropractic profession and the world of sports.

FISU - International Federation of University Sports

Since it’s founding in 1949, the International University Sports Federation (FISU) has been the world’s uniting force for university sport.

As the international federation of university sport, FISU represents 170 million students across 40,000 universities.

Embracing the motto “Today’s Stars, Tomorrow’s Leaders,” FISU’s flagship events are the World University Championships, University World Cups, and the Summer and Winter Universiades. The latter two are two-week events that happen biennially that draw thousands of student-athletes.

“Taipei did it,” Taipei City Mayor Wen-je Ko, said after hosting the 2017 Summer Universiade. “The world got to see us as we are.”

GAISF - Global Association of International Sports Federations

GAISF is composed of International Sports Federations and other international sport and event related organizations. GAISF members are divided into five groups: ASOIF and AIOWF for those on the Olympic Summer and Winter Program, ARISF for IFs that are recognized by the IOC, AIMS for IFs that are not yet in any of the other groupings. The fifth group brings together all associated members which are sport-related organizations that organize events or support sport in various capacities.

GAISF’s vision is to present a united voice of sport in support of the Olympic ideals and of the Olympic movement and promote sport at every level and in every corner of the world, from grassroots to elite, wherever its members have national organizations and events.

The mission of GAISF is to serve and represent the common interests of all International Federations and coordinate the efforts of all those that aspire to become IOC recognized and, eventually, wish to enter the Olympic Program.

The IFBB organize worldwide in a yearly basis over 2.000 events. The major IFBB events are World Men Championship and Congress, World Fitness Championships, World Classic Bodybuilding Championship, World Junior and Master Championships, Arnold Classic Weekends, the Mr. Olympia Amateur, IFBB Diamond Cup and Ben Weider Legacy Cup.
IFBB is member of SportAccord (World Association of International Sport Federations) International World Games Association, UNESCO, ICSSPE (International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education), amongst many other prestigious international bodies, being recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia and byt he Executive Committtee of PASO as the sole International Sport Federation for the sport of Bodybuilding and Fitness, in full compliance with the WADA Code.

IMMAF

The International MMA Federation is the global governing body for the sport of MMA, representing stakeholders across 70 nations through its family of non-profit, democratic federations. Founded from within the MMA community for the MMA community, the IMMAF works to further the development and regulation of MMA from the grass roots to elite level, and to organize elite, Amateur MMA Championships worldwide. IMMAF’s goal is for MMA to attain official sport recognition and ultimately be accepted into the Olympics.

International Zurkhaneh Sports And Koshti Pahlavani Federation

The International Zurkhāneh Sport Federation (IZSF) was established on October 10, 2004 to promote varzesh-e pahlavāni on a global level. The IZSF aims to regulate and standardize rules for koshti pahlevani and organize international festivals and competitions. In 2010 it started to regulate and organize para-zourkhāneh festivals for disabled athletes. Seventy Two countries are currently members of the IZSF.

Since 1976 the IPF is a full member of GAIFS (SportAccord) and the IWGA.
IPF is a founding member of the World Games and participated on all editions of the Games.

Our main event are the IPF Classic World Championships with +800 athletes.

Since 2008 the IPF has two strong partners with ELEIKO SE from Sweden and SBD Apparel from UK.

IWUF - International Wushu Federation

The International Wushu Federation (IWUF), which was established on October 3rd, 1990, is the international federation (IF) which governs wushu in all its forms worldwide. Currently, the IWUF has 149 members, across 5 continental federations worldwide. The IWUF is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and is also a member of both ARISF and SportAccord. The IWUF is devoted to the spread and development of wushu throughout the world, to enrich people's lives by making them healthier, both mentally and physically, and to promote friendship and understanding between all people worldwide through the spirit of sport.

Japan Sport Council

Established in 2003, the Japan Sport Council is the national agency responsible for development of sport in Japan. Managing the Sports Promotion Fund and Sports Promotion Lottery, the Japan Sport Council funds widely in both local community and elite performance sport. Kickboxing is contact fighting sport with hand and leg techniques and maximum use of protective equipment, it is the umbrella name for seven competitive disciplines in the ring (Full Contact, Low kick, K-1) and on the tatami (Point Fighting, Light Contact, Kick Light and Musical Forms).
