QOC Ready to Give the Sports Industry a Boost at SportAccord Convention 2014

The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) will be continuing as a Silver Partner for the 2014 edition of SportAccord Convention, taking place 6-11 April at the Susesi Convention Centre in Belek/Antalya, Turkey.

QOC is determined to play its role in reaching out to Qatar and the world through sport, and its Silver Partnership with SportAccord Convention will assist it in developing relationships with International Federations.

“We have enjoyed a long and rewarding relationship with the QOC,” said Nis Hatt, Managing Director of SportAccord Convention.

“As Qatar gets ready to host the 12th FINA World Swimming Championships, the 2015 IHF Handball World Championships and other international events, the 2014 SportAccord Convention is the perfect platform to network and generate the necessary interaction among delegates and federations.”

QOC plays the central role of delivering sport, and the opportunity to take part in sport, to the people of Qatar and the world. Its responsibilities range from the provision of community and grass-roots sports programmes, to constructing and maintaining the facilities which host sport events at both community and international levels.

“The Qatar Olympic Committee is delighted to partner with SportAccord Convention,” said H.E Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Secretary General at Qatar Olympic Committee.

“We look forward to creating a partnership that will result in key decision makers engaging to discuss the major topics affecting the development of the global sports industry.”

As part of the partnership, QOC will be sponsoring the 2014 SportAccord Convention Recharging Zone which will provide delegates with the opportunity to meet, recharge and network with the sports industry’s top decision makers.
